D942
Dinky 942 Foden 14-Ton Tanker 'REGENT'. Near mint plus/boxed.Dated 1956. A lovely example from The Reference Collection of Dinky models compiled in The U.K.
Notes
This shining bright tanker was issued during 1956 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid). Complete ‘REGENT’ lettering on both sides and no dents or crazing to the tank. In wonderfully lustrous all original condition throughout.
Rear label is notably scratch-free:
None of the usual rubs to the white side stripe although there is a little mark to the white stripe on one rear edge.
This tanker has had careful handling so there are just a couple of little marks where you might expect ( e.g. at wheel arches one side probably due to box contact). Presents very well indeed with a shiny black intact ladder. Bright baseplate.
The striped Supertoys box is brightly-coloured, clean and complete. No splits or repairs. Not even a trace of sunfading and that includes the vibrant blue base. Faint felt pen period price on the lid. Only the most minor age wear. Shiny staples.
Gives the impression of unsold old shop stock.
