CGS4
Corgi Gift Set 4. Bloodhound Guided Missile Set. Very near mint- very, very near mint/boxed. With Rocket Age Leaflet, additional leaflet, Inspection Slip & packing piece. Scarce.
Notes
Issued between 1958-60 and a difficult set to find in any condition.
Looking completely unused, this set comprises:
1) Corgi 351 R.A.F. Land Rover. Tin canopy and flat spun wheels, including spare. Tow hook. Virtually mint condition.
2) Corgi 1115 Bristol Ferranti Bloodhound. In very, very near mint condition- the best example we have seen. Nearly always chipped! Nose cone is notably intact and original, too.
3) Corgi 1116 Launching Ramp is in very, near mint condition. A few small marks away from mint. Bright metal parts throughout. Very nice!
4) Corgi 1117 Bloodhound Loading Trolley. Working well. Very, very near mint. Lovely finish. Bright metal parts. Looks factory-fresh!
The colourful outer box presents well with vivid day-one, bright colours on the clean card. Occasional minor edge rub. One corner seam has a small (carefully repaired) split.
Packing insert is clean and fresh. Minor wear only, caused by the models.
Nice to see that the Rocket Age Leaflet is included – lots of details and pictures of this military range.
Also, a scarce additional leaflet is included for the Bloodhound Guided Missile. Few Gift Sets have an original little Inspection Slip still present too!
A wonderful set and an ideal investment piece.
