D285
Dinky 285 Merryweather Marquis Fire Engine. Very near mint (broken tab on the hatch)/boxed (wear).
Notes
Issued between 1969-79, this detailed Fire Engine model has a vivid non-metallic red finish, complete ‘Fire Service’ labels fresh and bright on both sides. . Bright silver ladders etc. Red roof light. Window glazing. White interior. REarly issue with metal wheels. Complete with hose.
Hard to find a mark. Obviously unused. Couple of stray flicks of factory silver. Note that the red plastic hatch has a broken tab now.
The pictorial card box is rather worn now with a little wear and tear at end flaps, creasing. Nearly always found with wear, since the model is heavy compared to the relatively flimsy card of the box. No inner.
